Efforts to improve safety
Motor Car Auto Carriers recently implemented a new product to enhance safety, efficiency and fleet management efforts aiming to set a new standard in transportation safety.
The road wrap offers users increased levels of security for companies transporting personal cars and vehicles across the country. The sticky, transparent sheet wraps around the outside of a car being transported to protect the item from debris and environmental hazards it could encounter along the route. The road wrap can withstand extreme weather elements and save fleet managers unnecessary costs and headaches associated with unsatisfied customers complaining about damaged cars post-transport, the Times Union reported.
The Manitoba Trucking Association is excited about another major effort to improve transportation safety. The Manitoba Infrastructure and Transportation department is promising to complete necessary road improvements on Highway 75 as soon as possible. The repairs are expected to have a positive impact on the trucking industry that frequents the region regularly on long-hauls. The repairs include upgrades to northbound and southbound lanes, as well as a dedicated lane just for commercial trucks, Canadian Transportation and Logistics reported.
